Pathology

Pathology

Pathology means the study of disease and its causes and progression. Pathology tests cover blood tests and tests of urine, stools (feces), and bodily tissues. If you’re sick, many of the decisions about your care will be based on the results of your blood and pathology tests.

Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues (biopsy samples), bodily fluids, and in some cases the whole body (autopsy).
